Are you looking for a family friendly event offering beautiful trails and city views close to the CBD? Then look no further than the Western Sydney Parklands Trail run is this and much more!
The event is proudly supported by Western Sydney Parklands, Sydney’s Biggest Backyard and provides the perfect backdrop for a weekend of running and activities for the whole family.
Runners have the option of four course distances with a 35km, 19km, 11km and 4km Family Run, accommodating runners/walkers of all abilities. Starting and finishing at Lizard Log, the trail snakes through the Western Sydney Parklands taking in the sites of Moonrise Lookout, The Diary, Cecil Park and Sugarloaf Ridge. The terrain is varied – bushland single track, fire and farmland trails, all feature to challenge and excite the most discerning of trail runners.
Says Gary Farebrother, Founder of the Western Sydney Parklands Trail Run: “The course offers some fantastic trail running only a stones throw from the CBD. There is a great variety of trails which will entertain novice and experienced runners alike. The longer courses offer fantastic views of the CBD and Western Sydney and of course a few hills. “
